Conservative dentistry

Endodontics is a very important and extensive part of the specialty and it deals with the treatment and diagnosis of dental pulp and periapical tissue disease. The basic method of the treatment is root canal therapy. In modern endodontics we use surgical microscopes, endometers, specialized manual and automatic instruments to provide detailed root canal preparation. The most common material for a permanent root canal filling is Gutta-percha. Endodontic therapy is recommended for very deep defects, in pulp necrosis, after tooth fracture or dislocation.
